Breast augmentation with implants
Dr. Fahd Benslimane, plastic surgeon and expert in neuro-aesthetics, performs breast augmentation using breast implants. He can also perform a “composite” augmentation with micro-fat grafting around the implants to ensure the most natural possible result.
Also performed: implant exchange and implant removal.
For maximum safety, the choice of implants (shape, volume, texture and position — pre-pectoral, retro-pectoral or dual-plane) is discussed during the consultation, as well as the surgical approach (inframammary, inferior hemi-areolar or axillary).
Results are appreciable from ~15 to 21 days post-op.
- Moderate pain during the first days (managed with medication).
- Swelling and bruising for ~2 weeks.
- Wear a compression bra for 4 weeks.
- Result stabilizes from around 90 days.
Breast augmentation by micro-fat grafting (lipofilling)
Postoperative care:
Fat is harvested by liposuction from certain areas, purified and then reinjected into the breasts to harmonize volumes. The fat cells (autologous) contain stem cells that help restore irradiated or damaged tissues and eliminate the risk of allergy or rejection.
Several sessions (2 to 3 on average) spaced 3 months apart are often required for an optimal and lasting volume.
Main contraindication: insufficient fat reserve (rare).
- Moderate initial pain (analgesics).
- Recovery of about 2 weeks.
- Wear a compression bra for 4 weeks.
- Stop sports for ~8 weeks.
- Final result from ~3 months.
Postoperative care:
Breast lift
Surgical approaches:
Postoperative course:
The breast lift removes excess skin to lift sagging breasts (ptosis).
- Periareolar incision — mild ptosis
- Periareolar + vertical — moderate ptosis
- Inverted T — significant ptosis
- Moderate pain (analgesics).
- Recovery ~2 weeks.
- Wear a compression bra for 4 weeks.
- Stop sports ~8 weeks.
- Final result around 6 to 8 months.
Breast reduction
Breast reduction decreases breast volume while performing a lift (removal of excess skin and elevation). It treats hypertrophy due to excess glandular tissue, with or without excess fat.
Scars (periareolar, vertical and inframammary fold) gradually fade over months.
After surgery — to expect:
- Hospitalization: 1 night.
- Wear a compression bra for 4 weeks.
- Recovery / sick leave ~2 weeks.
- Moderate initial pain (prescription).
- Swelling, bruising and discomfort when raising the arms ~2 weeks.
- Possible transient decrease in areolar/skin sensitivity (progressive recovery).
Results are generally appreciable between 6 months and 1 year, with a clear functional and psychological benefit (comfort, sports, posture).

How is breast implant surgery performed?
Medical consultation (volume, shape, implant position).
Anesthesia consultation.
Stop / reduce smoking.
Mammography if necessary and preoperative assessment.
The operation takes place in the operating room under local anesthesia (with sedation). Discharge the same day or the next day depending on health status.
Is breast augmentation with implants painful?
Pain is generally moderate and well controlled. If significant discomfort occurs, the team remains available; the discomfort decreases within a few days.
Will there be a scar after the operation?
Lipofilling: no visible scar in the long term.
Implants: discreet scars (inframammary fold, armpit or peri-areolar). For ptosis correction, an inverted T may be necessary.
Can augmentation correct breast ptosis?
Moderate ptosis: implants are often sufficient. Significant ptosis: lift (ptosis correction) is preferable, possibly combined with implant and/or lipofilling.
How to choose implant size / volume?
Choice guided by the surgeon after complete measurements to reconcile your wishes with the body's natural proportions.
What are the shapes of implants?
Round: fuller cleavage, upper pole fullness.
Anatomical: very natural look, lower breast volume.
Ergonomic: soft cohesive gel, behavior close to a natural breast.
Textured or smooth implants?
Dr. Benslimane favors smooth implants to avoid the risk of lymphoma associated with textured implants.
Implants above or below the muscle?
Depends on initial breast volume. Average breasts: natural result above the muscle. Small breasts: often behind the muscle. The Dual Plane technique optimizes naturalness and reduces complications (capsule, infection, rupture).
What scars are possible after augmentation?
Areola (darker color — camouflaged scar).
Inframammary fold.
Armpits.
How long should implants be kept?
Annual clinical follow-up and ultrasound every 2 years to detect any anomaly. Replacement recommended on average every ~10 years.
Is sensation after a lift modified?
The fold area (scar) may be temporarily numb; sensitivity returns progressively.
REDUCTION vs LIFT: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
A lift corrects shape (ptosis) without reducing volume; reduction decreases volume while improving shape.
Can i breastfeed after a breast lift?
In the majority of cases, yes. It is recommended to schedule the surgery after pregnancies and weaning to optimize the stability of the result.
Arm plasty
Postoperative care:
“Bat wings” (flabby arms) appear after significant weight loss or with age and can be a real source of concern. When the skin is lax (cutaneous ptosis), muscle training alone yields limited results because collagen and elastin fibers are stretched.
Two solutions: liposuction and/or arm lift to reduce volume and remove excess skin. Under local anesthesia, Dr. Fahd Benslimane combines liposuction (posterior face to reduce thickness) and skin tightening (inner face) with a technique that promotes discreet scars and good healing.
- Bruising, swelling, mild pain and sick leave for ~15 days.
- Resumption of daily activities from the 3rd week.
- Return to sports after ~6 weeks.
- Final result visible from around 3 months.
- Complete and discreet healing around ~6 months.
Hand rejuvenation
Development of the injection :
To expect :
Contraindications :
Development of the injection :
Prominent wrinkles, bulging veins… hands age like the rest of the body. Face & Body Clinic offers two effective approaches: Hyaluronic Acid injections and lipofilling (micro-fat grafting).
1 — Hyaluronic Acid Injection
The hollows on the back of the hand and interdigital spaces are filled to plump and smooth the skin, masking wrinkles, veins and tendons without scars. Results are immediately visible.
- Duration: 20 to 30 minutes.
- Topical anesthetic cream applied ~1 hour before.
- Thorough cleaning of the hands.
- Approximately 4 injections between the bones on the back of the hand.
- Massage for good product diffusion.
- Results last ~18 months.
- One injection session + one check at D+15.
- Avoid aspirin before/after the session.
- No sun exposure 3 weeks before/after.
- Bruising, swelling, slight burning: disappear in a few hours.
- Maintenance session ~once a year.
- Allergy to xylocaine.
- Anticoagulant treatments.
- Anti-diabetic treatments.
- Joint pathologies.
- Autoimmune diseases.
2 — Micro-fat grafting (Hand Lipofilling)
Definitive and 100% physiological solution: fat harvesting (e.g., inner thighs), purification by centrifugation then reinjection to the back of the hand via micro-cannulas to fill the interosseous hollows (~10 ml per hand depending on the case).
- Operating room — local anesthesia.
- Outpatient (≈ 2 h at the clinic), discharge the same day.
- Mild or absent pain.
- Swelling ~15 days.
- Return to manual activities after ~10 days.
- First noticeable result at ~15 days, stabilized result at ~3 months.
Leg beauty
From the ankle to the knee, Dr. Benslimane redefines leg beauty in a personalized way. Based on a prior artistic analysis, he can add volume by micro-fat grafting (lipofilling) or remove it by liposuction.
“The Benslimane’s Artistic Model for Leg Beauty”, developed by Dr. Fahd Benslimane (Plastic surgeon & Expert in neuro-aesthetics), precisely describes the criteria of a beautiful leg so that each action reduces the gap between the patient’s ideal and reality.
This objective approach to aesthetics relies on the distribution of curves to harmonize legs, thighs and the rest of the body. It can correct bowed legs, legs that are too thin or “post-like”.
Postoperative course:
- Bruising and swelling for ~15 days
- Mild pain, muscle soreness and difficulty walking ~10 days
- Wear a compression garment for 6 weeks
- Resumption of daily activities after ~3 weeks
- Final result stabilized around 3 months
Lipoedema
Lipoedema is a chronic disease of abnormal subcutaneous fat accumulation, mainly affecting women. It frequently involves the legs, thighs, knees, ankles, buttocks and calves. Not to be confused with obesity (diffuse fat).
When conservative measures (physical activity, anti-inflammatory diet, compression stockings, massages/physiotherapy) fail, plastic surgery is often the solution: remodeling by liposuction to remove fat, relieve pain and improve mobility. Dr. Benslimane uses water-assisted liposuction to preserve lymphatic vessels. Multiple sessions may be necessary.
Stages:
- Stage 1: fatty deposits under smooth skin, ± painful bruising
- Stage 2: dimpled skin and a quilted appearance
- Stage 3: large fatty deposits, tissue inflammation/thickening — “post-like” legs, difficulty walking and circulatory problems
- Stage 4: associated lymphoedema (damage to lymphatic vessels)
Postoperative course:
- Bruising and swelling ~15 days
- Mild pain, muscle soreness and difficulty walking ~10 days
- Wear a compression garment for 6 weeks
- Prescribed care and massages to follow
- Resumption of daily activities after ~3 weeks
- Final result stabilized around 3 months
Thighs
1 — Thigh Liposuction
Circular liposuction reduces thigh volume long-term if the skin is sufficiently elastic. Performed under local anesthesia with sedation, using fine cannulas for gentle and homogeneous aspiration (inner & outer faces). In case of significant excess skin, a lift may be preferable.
Postoperative course (lipo):
- Muscle soreness & difficulty walking ~2 weeks
- Bruising & swelling ~2 weeks
- Stop daily activities ~1 week
- Compression garment 6 weeks
- Healthy lifestyle essential
- Result at 3–6 months
2 — Thigh Lift (Cruroplasty)
Corrects excess skin and fat to restore a harmonious contour. Indicated after major weight loss, painful rubbing when walking, or marked skin laxity.
Postoperative course (lift):
- Bruising & swelling ~15 days
- Mild pain, muscle soreness, difficulty walking ~2 weeks
- Compression garment 6 weeks
- Prescribed care/massages to follow
- Resumption of daily activities after ~10 days
- Result stabilized around 3 months
3 — Thigh Lipofilling
For thighs considered too thin, injection of autologous fat (harvested from another area) under local anesthesia with sedation.
Postoperative course (lipofilling):
- Hospitalization 1 night
- Final result appreciable from ~3 months
- Bruising & swelling in the first days
- A 2nd session may be proposed if resorption reaches ~30% of the injected fat

What are the symptoms of lipoedema?
In addition to fatty deposits, patients experience pain, sensations of heaviness, unusual fatigue and sensitive skin that bruises easily. For more information, contact the International Lipoedema Center – Morocco.
Is liposuction painful?
Patients report mild muscle soreness during the 1st week, relieved by analgesics prescribed by Dr. Fahd Benslimane.
When are the results of thigh liposuction visible?
Initial results are visible around 2 months; definitive stability is reached around 3 months post-op.
How to tighten thigh skin?
Medical treatments can help in case of mild to moderate laxity. For significant excess, a thigh lift remains the definitive solution.
Will there be a scar after a thigh lift?
For moderate excess, the scar is often short and horizontal, hidden in the crease between the leg and the pubis. For significant excess, a vertical scar on the inner thigh may be necessary.
Abdominoplasty
Indications :
Abdominoplasty treats excess skin and fat of the abdomen by liposuction and corrects relaxation of the abdominal wall muscles (diastasis) to obtain a flat belly harmonized with the body shape.
In the operating room, Dr. Fahd Benslimane's approach is holistic: first volume reduction by liposuction, then tightening of the abdominal wall to slim the waist, tummy and pubic lift with removal of excess skin, and finally skin tightening. The scar is horizontal, low, above the pubis.
Abdominoplasty is not suitable for patients with obesity (referral to bariatric surgery if needed).
- Significant weight loss / history of bariatric surgery
- Overweight with localized abdominal fat excess
- Skin laxity related to aging
- Post-pregnancies with relaxed abdominal wall
- Hospitalization: 1 night
- Anticoagulant treatment 15 days (prevention of phlebitis/PE)
- Bruising ~15 days
- Swelling ~30 days
- Compression garment 45 days
- Stop sports ~6 weeks
- Result appreciable at 3–6 months, stabilized at 12 months
Postoperative care :
Liposuction
Abdominal liposuction permanently eliminates localized fat to reshape the silhouette. It is performed under local anesthesia.
Depending on the case, it may be combined with liposuction of the hips, back, inner thighs or saddlebags.
This procedure does not treat excess skin or abdominal wall distension. Its objective is aspiration of fat by cannulas through micro-incisions.
- Discharge the same day
- Mild pain
- Bruising ~2 weeks
- Compression garment 30 days
- Stop activities ~1 week
- Final result at 3–6 months
Postoperative care :
Gynecomastia
Excessive development of male mammary glands (bilateral or unilateral). It can be idiopathic or linked to hormonal imbalance (often iatrogenic).
Medical management (endocrinologist) can reduce breast tissue in some cases. Surgical treatment is the “gynecomastia cure”.
- Swelling and mild pain (analgesics) ~5 days
- Compression vest 1 month (skin retraction / healing)
- Recommended healthy lifestyle to optimize results
- Final result around 3 months

Is abdominal liposuction permanent?
Yes, if the result is maintained by a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet and exercise.
What are the objectives of abdominal liposuction?
Slim the waist and silhouette, eliminate bulges and localized abdominal fat.
Who is abdominal liposuction for?
People with moderate overweight (BMI <= 30), stable weight, regular physical activity, little/no excess skin and a toned wall. In case of skin/wall distension: favor abdominoplasty.
Does abdominal liposuction hurt?
Muscle soreness sensation 3–4 days, well relieved by prescribed analgesics.
Does abdominal liposuction leave scars?
Very discreet micro-scars that fade in a few weeks.
What should be done after abdominal liposuction?
Rest ~1 week, wear compression garment 1 month. Balanced diet and healthy lifestyle to optimize results. Resume sports from the 4th week.
What about pregnancy after abdominal liposuction?
Results persist after pregnancy. If problematic abdominal diastasis occurs after pregnancy, an abdominal plastia with diastasis repair (e.g., Mommy Makeover) may be indicated.
What is Abdominal Etching?
A liposculpture technique targeting superficial fat to highlight muscle lines (abdominal definition). Useful when superficial fat remains despite training.
Why do men have chest surgery?
Gynecomastia can be a source of distress. Surgery aims to restore a normal masculine chest.
Waist & hips
Postoperative care :
Liposuction of love handles eliminates localized fat cells around the waist and hips to correct persistent fatty deposits despite a healthy diet and regular physical activity.
Performed under local anesthesia with sedation, gentle liposuction provides permanent results on fat localized in the saddlebags and waist area.
- Bruising and swelling for about 2 weeks
- Results visible from 2 months post-op
Hip lipofilling aims to reshape curves by reinjecting fat harvested from other areas of the body after filtration. This natural technique harmonizes the silhouette without implants, respecting the patient's morphology.
- Muscle soreness relieved by analgesics
- Bruising for 1 week
- Sleep on your stomach for 3 weeks
- Avoid sitting on the lower buttocks area for 30 days
- Compression garment 30 days
- No sun exposure on liposuctioned areas for 6 weeks
- Professional leave 1 week
- Stop sports 1 month
Buttocks
Postoperative course
Buttock lipofilling, also called BBL (Brazilian Buttock Lift), consists of increasing volume and improving the buttock curve permanently by injecting autologous fat (from the patient).
Complementary liposuction of areas with excess fat may be performed, and a lift can be done to tighten the skin and enhance curves.
The advantage of lipofilling: natural, durable results without foreign implants.
- Hospitalization: 1 night
- Sleep on your stomach for the first 15 days
- Moderate pain for ~15 days (analgesics)
- Anticoagulant treatment 15 days
- Bruising 15 days, swelling 30 days
- Compression garment 45 days
- Stop sports 4 to 6 weeks
- Result appreciable and stabilized from 3 months
Lipo High Definition
Postoperative course
Abdominal etching, or high-definition liposuction, aims to increase visibility and definition of abdominal and pectoral muscles. Fat is left above the muscles and removed between them to create the natural appearance of “abs.”
VASER liposuction, used for this technique, uses ultrasound to break down fat before aspiration. Dr. Fahd Benslimane defines muscular contours for a natural and precise result.
- Bruising and swelling for ~1 week
- Work stoppage: 1 week
- Stop sports: 1 month
- Healthy lifestyle mandatory
- Results vary according to genetics and diet
- Final result around 3 months post-op

What other areas can be treated by lipofilling?
Lipofilling also applies to cheeks, breasts, genital organs or areas with volume loss (wrinkles, depressions…).
How to sit and sleep after buttock lipofilling?
Sleep on your stomach for the first 2 weeks. For sitting, use a cushion or donut to avoid pressure on the grafted area.
Is buttock lipofilling risky?
No, Dr. Benslimane's technique uses your own fat, without implants, eliminating rejection risks. He uses the “Smart Fat Injection” method to avoid fat embolism.
Who is lipo High Definition for?
Athletic, non-smoking patients with BMI < 30, good skin elasticity and wishing to improve abdominal muscle definition.
What is the protocol after lipo High Definition?
A radiofrequency protocol is proposed to optimize recovery and results.
How is lipo High Definition performed?
Under local anesthesia with sedation, fat is strategically removed then redistributed (lipofilling) to accentuate abdominal lines.
What are the advantages of lipo High Definition?
- Permanent results with weight maintenance
- Possible fat transfer to other areas
- Superior precision compared to classic lipo
- Faster recovery
What are the drawbacks of lipo High Definition?
- 7 to 10 days of professional leave
- Swelling for ~1 month
Are scars from High Definition liposuction visible?
Very discreet, they fade in a few months and are often invisible in the long term.
Difference between High Definition liposuction and abdominal liposuction?
High Definition sculpts and reveals muscles (for athletes), while classic liposuction removes excess fat for varied profiles.
Does sport improve the result after lipo High Definition?
Yes — combined with an adapted diet, it optimizes the muscular definition obtained.
Can i have Abdominal Etching if i have excess skin on the abdomen?
It depends on skin laxity. In moderate excess, VASER tightens the skin. Otherwise, a prior abdominal plastia will be recommended before Abdominal Etching.
